The re-arrangement of this year’s fixture list, due to the Scottish Opens, allowed us to have great fun by combining Captain’s Day and the Captain v Secretary Match. We were delighted to welcome three of our new members who joined us for this event. After last year’s defeat by the Secretary’s team, the Captain’s team took their revenge!
ELLCGA - Spring Meeting played on Gullane No.1
Silver Scratch and winner of the Connie Lugton Prize – Lindsey Garden – 81
Congratulations to Jill McNicoll who won the ELLCGA championship to retain the title.
Well done too to Lorna Thomson, runner up in the Handicap Quaich.
Sue Penman and Lesley Johnston came 2nd in the Senior Ladies International Foursomes Championship at the Royal Golf Club de Belgique. Barbara Biggart and her partner were fifth.
The Scottish Golf AGM saw the appointment of June McEwan as Scottish Golf’s new President, the first female to hold the role following amalgamation in 2015. This is a fitting reward for her work as a volunteer across various levels of the game. We would all like to congratulate June on her appointment and wish her well.

We are looking forward to seeing some of the best golfers in the world and it will be particularly interesting to see how the cream of the ladies tackle our course!
